Pune: Biker Dies In Road Accident After Hit By Dumper
Hadapsar, 10th February 2024: An accident took place in the Handewadi area of Hadapsar, Pune, as a young bike rider lost his life after being struck by a speeding dumper. The incident has prompted swift action from law enforcement authorities, with Wanowrie police registering a case against the dumper driver.
The victim, identified as 24-year-old Meghant Shewale, a resident of Hadapsar, was fatally injured when a speeding dumper collided with his bike near Ganga Village Society in Chintamani Nagar. The incident occurred around 11:30 pm on Thursday (8th February). Despite efforts to save him, Meghant succumbed to his injuries.
In response to the incident, Meghant’s relative, Somnath Pandurang Kate, residing in Pimple Saudagar, filed a complaint with the Police. As a result, a case has been registered against the dumper driver, identified as Mukesh Kisan Pawar, a 48-year-old resident of Wagholi. The legal proceedings are underway, with Police Sub-Inspector Dhanaji Tone leading the investigation into the matter.
