Pune : Biker Riding In BRT Lane Hits PMPML Bus, Dies In Accident
Pune 20th August 2023: A 26-year-old biker died in an accident after he hit a Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal (PMPML) bus from front while riding in a BRT lane near Sangvi Phata. The deceased identified as Rushikesh Bhimrao Bhalerao, a resident of Urulu Devachi sustained serious injuries in the incident and was declared dead by doctors.
According to the complaint registered with police, the incident took place at around 1:50 pm on Saturday on the Dhore Patil Bridge near Sangvi Phata. The PMPML bus had left from Chinchwad Depot with passengers and was heading towards PMC at the time of incident. The biker who was riding in the opposite direction of the bus could not control his bike and hit the PMPML with force leading to his death, stated police in the complaint.
