Pune Bitcoin Fraud: Six Accused Arrested For Cheating Engineer For Rs 15 Lakhs

Pune, 19 July 2021: An engineer from Pune has been defrauded of Rs 15 lakh on the pretext of being paid more than investing in Bitcoin. A case has been registered against six persons at Sinhagad police station in this regard.

Dheeraj Rajaram Dhumal (48) of Dhayari is the name of the person who was cheated. A case has been registered against Anand Junnarkar, Aparna Junnarkar, Atul Patil, Parashuram Patil, Raghunath Bodkhe and Ajit Sharma.

According to police, complainant Dhumal was an engineer working in the office of accused  Junnarkar. In December 2017, accused Junnarkar lured Dhumal by saying that he would be paid more than the original amount.

 

Accordingly, Dhumal invested Rs 3 lakh. At that time, the currency was called Monish Classic (xmro) in Germany.

The complainant gave the accused money from time to time but didn’t receive any response from the accused. The complainant Dheeraj Dhumal came to know that he had been cheated of Rs 15 lakh. Also, those who initially issued Rs 3 lakh were found to be fake. After that, Dhumal lodged a complaint at a police station and is investigating the case further.
