Pune: BJP Accuses Congress Candidate Dhangekar of Casteist Propaganda and Polarizing Voters

Pune, 25th February 2023: A delegation from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has demanded that a case be filed against Ravindra Dhangekar, a Congress candidate in the Kasba Assembly Constituency, for violating the code of conduct.
The delegation, which included BJP city president Jagdish Mulik, chief election MLA Madhuri Misal, state general secretary Muralidhar Mohol, state vice president Sunil Karjatakar, and union general secretary Rajesh Pande, accused Dhangekar of engaging in casteist propaganda and polarizing voters.
The delegation also alleged that Dhangekar had broken the rule near Kasba Ganapati after the campaign had ended and gathered a crowd. The delegation called for strict action against Dhangekar for violating the code of conduct and demanded that he be held accountable for his actions.
The BJP delegation also expressed concerns about the possibility of bogus voting at the polling station near Lonar Ali and Daruwala police post. They urged authorities to strictly check the authenticity of Aadhaar card voting cards and to deploy additional police forces in the sensitive area behind Gujarati School, City Post.
The allegations against Dhangekar and concerns about voting fraud highlight the contentious nature of the upcoming election in the Kasba Assembly Constituency. It remains to be seen how authorities will respond to the BJP’s demands and whether or not these allegations will affect the outcome of the election.
