Pune Woman Raped and Blackmailed by Friend Using Videos

Pune, 25th February 2023: A shocking case of rape and blackmail has been reported in Pune, where a young woman was given sedatives and raped by a friend, who then filmed the incident. The Chandannagar police have registered a case against two people for forcing the victim to have physical relations under the threat of making the footage viral. One of the accused, Mayur Dattatray Satav, has been arrested, while the other, Shashikant Kadam, is still at large.

According to the complaint filed by the victim, Kadam gave her sedatives in beer and then raped her, filming and photographing the incident on his mobile phone. He then threatened to make the footage viral and forced the victim to have sexual relations with him again at different places. The accused also forced the victim to have physical relations with Satav, who lured her into marriage and repeatedly raped her.

The victim has alleged that she was harassed by the accused, who repeatedly called her. The incidents took place between March and July 2022 in Shubham Society, Hotel Anand, Kesanand, Vadgaon Sheri. The police have registered a case against the accused under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, including rape, blackmail, and criminal intimidation.
