Kasba Peth, 8th February 2023: In the Kasba Assembly Constituency, the BJP has engaged three MLAs and three former MLAs from the city under the name of micro-planning, giving them the responsibility of one ward each.

Although the Kasba constituency is considered to be the stronghold of the BJP, now a heated discussion has started on whether Ravindra Dhangekar of the Congress will mount a big challenge to the BJP or not. BJP leaders are determined to make this election a prestige matter and elect Hemant Rasane in any situation. Planning has been started for that.

Rasane from the OBC community has been nominated in the Kasba Assembly Constituency, leaving out Brahmin aspirants like Shailesh Tilak, Kunal Tilak, Dheeraj Ghate, and Swarda Bapat. In the city of Pune, “the BJP is repeatedly doing injustice to the Brahmin community” and is expressing displeasure about it – this fear is now taken by BJP leaders. Its consequences are being seen while planning the elections.

City BJP micro-planned the booth system for the campaign of Rasane. The official candidate of BJP, Shiv Sena (Balasaheb Thackeray), Republican Party of India (Athawale Group), Rashtriya Samaj Party, Shiv Sangram, Ryat Kranti Sanghatana and Patit Pawan Sanghatana Mahayuti were at the meeting held today by the corporators and office bearers. City BJP President Jagdish Mulik informed that it has been done

Mulik said, “Kasba Assembly Constituency includes a total of 270 booth centres and 74 Shakti Kendras. A list of booth leaders and twenty-five members has been prepared for each booth. This list includes youth, women, senior citizens and representatives of various social groups and organizations.”

A Shakti Kendra consists of three to four booths. Appointments of all 74 Shakti Kendra Heads have been completed. A former corporator and a city office bearer will be working as Shakti Kendra chiefs.

There are six wards in the constituency and their responsibility has been given to former MLAs. Also, workers from other assembly constituencies of the city will help in the election management in each ward. The list is as follows –
