Pune: PMRDA Prepares Preliminary Plan For 233.35 Hectares For Urban Town Planning For Manjari And Kolwadi
Pune, 8th February 2023: Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) has presented the preliminary plan for an area of 233.35 hectares for the Urban Town Planning scheme of Manjari Khurd and Kolwadi to the state government for approval.
The 233.35 hectares of this urban development design encompass more than 1,500 farms from Manjari Khurd and Kolwadi. The Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) for Housing Scheme will receive ten plots totalling 22.33 hectares. While the 153 final developed plots, totalling 111.67 hectares, will be made available to the farmer-beneficiaries. In addition, 26.01 hectares would be set aside for internal roadways and 7.45 hectares for ring roads.
Ramdas Jagtap, the deputy collector of the PMRDA, said, “1,500 farmers will benefit from this project, and they will receive amenities on 50 per cent of it, with the remaining 50 per cent going towards road constructions. The PMRDA has recommended Rs 100 crores in funding; the work will start once approved.”
