Pune, 7th May 2025: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Pune celebrated the Indian Army’s bold counterterrorism operation—Operation Sindoor—launched in response to the recent Pahalgam terror attack that claimed 26 civilian lives.

The Indian Armed Forces struck nine terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir in a late-night air operation, eliminating several terrorists linked to anti-India activities. The strike is seen as a direct retaliation for the Pahalgam attack and has drawn strong support and praise from across the political spectrum.

In Pune, BJP MLA Hemant Rasane led a celebration at the Shrimant Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati Mandir, where he performed a grand aarti of Lord Ganpati and offered sweets in honor of the Indian Army’s action. The atmosphere was charged with patriotism as BJP members chanted Bharat Mata Ki Jai and Vande Mataram.

Speaking at the event, Rasane praised the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah for standing firm in the face of terrorism. “When 27 civilians were killed in the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, both the Prime Minister and Home Minister vowed that justice would be delivered. Today, that promise has been fulfilled through Operation Sindoor,” Rasane said.

He added, “India is committed to peace, but those who attack us will face decisive consequences. The Indian Army has shown that no act of terrorism will go unanswered. This is not just retaliation, but a true tribute to the victims of Pahalgam.”

A large number of BJP office bearers, karyakartas, and citizens were present at the temple to show their support and solidarity with the armed forces. The event was marked by displays of national pride and emotional remembrance of the lives lost in the recent terror strike.
