Pune: BJP’s Siddharth Shirole Wins Shivajinagar, Defeats Datta Bahirat and Manish Anand

Shivajinagar, 23rd November 2024: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Siddharth Shirole has secured a consecutive victory from the Shivajinagar constituency, defeating Indian National Congress candidate Datta Bahirat and Congress rebel-turned-independent candidate Manish Anand with ease.
From the beginning, Shirole maintained a lead. Independent candidate Manish Anand’s presence, which divided the Congress votes, had political experts predicting a win for Shirole, albeit by a smaller margin.
The Shivajinagar constituency witnessed enthusiastic campaigning from all sides. Shirole’s strong connection with his party activists and his ability to engage with voters worked to his advantage. With 2.89 lakh registered voters and a low turnout of 50.90%, the conditions favoured the incumbent. Ultimately, Siddharth Shirole secured victory with a margin of nearly 36,000 votes.
