Pune: Bombay High Restobar Raided for Violating Liquor and Noise Regulations; Liquor, Hookah Pots Worth Rs 9.92 Lakh Seized

Bavdhan, 16th February 2025: The Pimpri-Chinchwad police took action against Bombay High Restobar in Bavdhan for operating beyond permitted hours and illegally serving alcohol.
Acting on a tip-off, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone-2) Vishal Gaikwad directed a police team to inspect the establishment on Mhalunge-Nande Road. The raid was conducted in the early hours of February 16 (Sunday), around 2:50 AM. The teams were led by night round officers PSI Tejaswi Jadhav of Bavdhan police station and Assistant Police Inspector Prasad Gajjewar.
In an official statement, Pimpri Chinchwad police said, “Upon reaching the location, the police observed a large number of parked two-wheelers and four-wheelers outside the bar. A bouncer at the entrance initially obstructed the officers, refusing them entry. However, the team proceeded inside and found that the restobar was still in operation past the permissible hours, with around 100-125 patrons being served food and alcohol. Loud music was also being played in violation of noise regulations.”
Further inspection led to the discovery of a hidden room containing 13 large, 10 medium, and 24 small hookah pots, along with 72 smoking pipes. The police also seized various items from the establishment, including a music system, computers, furniture, and CCTV DVRs, with a total estimated value of ₹9,92,700.
The action was taken under the guidance of Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Commissioner Vinoy Kumar Choubey and DCP Vishal Gaikwad. Further investigations are underway.

The accused have been booked under Sections 221, 223, and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita, along with Section 33 read with 131 of the Maharashtra Police Act.
