Pune: Bottle Forest Restaurant and Bar raided for loud music, equipment worth Rs 3.30 lakh confiscated
Mundhwa, 27th February 2023: The ‘Bottle Forest Restaurant and Bar’ faced action from a team of the Social Security Cell of Pune city police Crime Branch after allegedly playing loud music at 10 pm. During a search and seizure operation on Tadigutta road in Mundhwa, the restaurant had a sound system and a DJ mixer worth Rs 3.30 lakh confiscated.
While patrolling the Mundhwa area, the Social Security Cell came to know about loud sound emanating from the restaurant. Upon investigating the situation, they confirmed that loud music was being played over the sound system. As a result, the sound system worth Rs 3.30 lakh was confiscated from the restaurant.
The restaurant owner and manager have been charged under the Environment Protection Act of 1986 and the Noise Pollution (Regulation and Control, 2000) Act. The confiscated inventory was handed over to the Mundhwa police station for further action.
