Pune Boy Alqama Shaikh Shines at World Mind Sports Championship 2024 in Dubai
Pune, 13th December 2024: In a remarkable achievement, Alqama Saeeduddin Shaikh, a talented eighth-grade student from Podar International School, Shirur, Pune, has emerged as a top contender at the prestigious World Mind Sports Championship 2024 held in Dubai, UAE.
Out of 7,485 participants, only 150 students from 10 countries qualified for the event, which featured six challenging categories of mental prowess.
Alqama Shaikh’s impressive performance in the championship earned him second place in two highly competitive categories: Word Bank and the 1000 Digits in 10 Minutes challenge. He secured the 1st Runner-Up position in both, showcasing his exceptional skills and determination.
