Pune- Bremen Friendship Square to celebrate Silver Jubilee

Pune, 7th November 2022: President of Pune-Bremen Solidarity Forum Michael Waydande informed in a press conference that the Pune-Bremen friendship square at Aundh and the naming of Bremen Chowk would complete twenty-five years on November 13.

 

The friendship between Pune and Bremen, a state and city in Germany, was made with the aim of a brighter future and development for the next generation. Michael Waydande announced on this occasion that after the dissolution of the Pune-Bremen Solidarity Forum, the work of the forum will be re-started with support from Spicer Adventist University. He was accompanied by Dr Sanjeevan Arsud, a Vice Chancellor of Spicer Adventist University and Dr Franklin Samraaj, a head of the History Department of Spicer Adventist University.

 

 

On the occasion of the Silver Jubilee on November 13, the program is organised at 5 pm at Sumant Mulgaonkar Auditorium of Maratha Chamber of Commerce on Senapati Bapat Road. The then International Relations and Development Officer Gunther Hillgis, who had helped Pune by starting the Pune-Bremen friendship and the present International Relations and Development Officer Annette Lang will attend the program online.

 

On this occasion, programs showing the traditions and culture of Pune have been organized and information will be given about the working methods and resolutions of the Forum. These will include income opportunities for persons with disabilities, business opportunities for women entrepreneurs, student exchange programs, rural development programs, art and culture promotion. The program will conclude with the signing of MoU regarding the work to be done under the Pune-Bremen Solidarity Forum.
