Pune: BT Kawde Road In Knee-Deep Water Despite Repeated Complaints Filing to PMC

BT Kawde Road, September 21, 2020: Residents of Safe Society located on BT Kawde road faced a tough time as the water has entered their houses amidst heavy rain showers in Pune today afternoon.
As many as 50 houses have been affected as water entered into their homes. “Water entered my room an hour ago. It has reached knee-high in my house”, said Ammar Poonawala while speaking to Punekarnews.in.
The roads have been flooded, which has also caused traffic jams, said Poonawala. When asked whether he has registered any complaint, he said, “Just two days ago I registered a complaint with Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), and this is not a new issue.This has been happening for the last two years. Every time there are rains, the water enters homes of residents here.”
However, no permanent solution has been provided by PMC to stop the logging of water at BT Kawde road.
