Katraj, 19th January 2022: A case has been registered against the builders for cheating a police constable in the process of purchasing a flat.

The construction of the flat is of poor quality and a case has been registered with the Bharati Vidyapeeth Police Station for not providing any facilities without establishing a society.

A case has been registered against Vinayak Developer’s Vinayak Shirole, Avinash Shirole, Nikhil Shirole, and Sachin Jagtap.

Police Constable Dinkar Baban Hanamghar (45), a resident of Ambegaon, has lodged the complaint.

According to police, Vinayak Developers built the Vinayak Residency housing project in Duttnagar in which Hanamghar has booked a flat. The price of the flat was fixed at Rs 14.5 lakh where Rs 9.4 lakh was given by Hanamghar.

Hanamghar was told at the time of booking that possession would be one year from that time. The developer had also promised to provide facilities like lifts, power connections, and roads for commuting. However, after it was observed that the work of the flat and the building was done poorly, Hanamghar asked the builder Shirole in this regard. Then they were asked to spend another Rs 4.7 lakh. Still, lifts, colors, electricity connections, and roads for commuting were not provided. Many works were left unfinished.

Hanamghar complained that the construction was not done as per the approved plan of the municipality and no housing organization was set up.
