Pune: Bullion Shop Robbed on Weapon Point, Jewellery Stolen in Chandan Nagar
Chandan Nagar, 9th August 2025: A bullion shop was robbed in Pune’s Chandan Nagar. Thieves entered the shop with weapons and threatened the owner. They took gold jewellery weighing three grams. The incident happened on Friday, when the inauguration of the new building of Chandan Nagar Police Station at the hands of the Maharashtra Chief Minister also took place. The robbery occurred after the inaugaration.
The owner of the bullion shop has complained to the Chandan Nagar Police Station. A case was registered late Friday night.
Police said that the bullion shop is in the Sainath Nagar area. Yesterday at around 1 p.m., when the owner was in the shop, thieves came on a two-wheeler and entered the shop. Their faces were covered with handkerchiefs, and they had weapons. They took jewellery.
The bullion shop owner tried to resist, but the thieves ran away on the two-wheeler. An investigation is underway under the guidance of Senior Police Inspector Seema Dhakane, who is in charge of Chandan Nagar Police Station.
