Pune: Bus Driver Detained For Committing Obscene Act With 15-Year-Old School Girl In Bus; Further Investigation Underway
Kondhwa, 26th December 2024: A shocking case of a bus driver transporting students committing an obscene act with a school girl has come to light. The driver has been arrested by the Kondhwa police in this case.
The arrested person has been identified as Qayyum Ahmed Pathan (33), a resident of Vidyanagar, Kondhwa Khurd. A 15-year-old girl has filed a complaint in this regard.
According to the information given by the police, the victim is in a 9th standard in a school. The accused Pathan transports school children in a mini bus. There are small children in the bus. Since she is a bit older, she used to sit in the back seat of the bus.
The girl left school on 11th December. The accused stopped the bus to drop a child on the Katraj-Kondhwa road when the girl helped the child to get down. She was waiting near the door of the bus. At that time, the accused committed an indecent act with her.
After that, the frightened girl sat on the back seat of the bus. The girl did not inform her family about this incident. Two days ago, the accused Pathan tried to commit the obscene act again. Finally, the frightened girl informed her family about the incident.
Kondhwa police have arrested Pathan and a case has been registered under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO). Police Sub-Inspector Pooja Patil is investigating the case further.
