Pune: Businessman Kidnapped, Ransom Of Rs 20 Crores Demanded By Gang; Cops Rescue

Pune, 9th October 2022: The Gaja Marne gang in Kothrud has become active again. A shocking incident has come to light where a businessman was kidnapped and a ransom of Rs 20 crores was demanded.

In this case, the anti-extortion squad has arrested four people, including Rupesh Marne from the Marne gang. The abducted businessman has been released. Along with Rupesh Marne, Hemant Patil, Pappu Gholap, and one other have been arrested.

According to the police, the abducted businessman has a business of investing in the stock market and buying and selling land, and Hemant Patil had invested money with him in the stock market. Since some of the money was not received from the plaintiff, the accused from the Gajanan Marne gang kept a watch on the plaintiff and abducted him from Katraj on 7th October in the evening. He was forcibly abducted in a car.

He was taken to different places on the Mumbai-Bangalore Highway. Threatened to file a false case of rape against the complainant and beat him up, and a ransom was demanded. They threatened to kill them and their families if the ransom was not paid. The four have been arrested after the anti-extortion squad two received information in this regard. Those arrested belong to the Gaja Marne gang.
