Pune: Candidate Hides Gadget In Mask For Cheating During Pimpri Chinchwad Police Recruitment Exam

Hinjawadi, 19th November 2021: The written examination for recruitment of Pimpri-Chinchwad police was held today. A candidate wanted to appear for the examination by wearing a mask in which an electronic device was hidden.

A large squad was deployed by the police to prevent malpractices. The video shooting was also done during this time.

The incident took place at Blue Ridge School in Hinjawadi. The concerned candidate fled as soon as the police noticed a battery, chip, SIM card in the mask during checking.

A case has been registered in this regard at the Hinjawadi police station and further investigation is going on.

The written examination was held at 80 centres in six districts for the recruitment of 720 police constables in the Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Commissionerate. Against this backdrop, a large police contingent was deployed. 1.89 lakh candidates appeared for the written examination for 720 posts in the Commissionerate.
