Pune: Car Catches Fire In Residential Building Parking, Disaster Averted

Undri, 31st August 2022: A Honda Amaze car (petrol) caught a fire in the parking lot of the residential apartment named Keystone Hills Building on NIBM- Undri Road. Fire Brigade team reached there on time and doused the fire.

According to officials, the driver of the vehicle got inside and tried to start the car. The car display showed an error and later caught fire. The driver got out of the car immediately and tried to clear the smoke but the car had already caught fire which went out of control for the driver.

 

The Kondhwa-Khurd fire station was alerted at 7.01 pm and they reached the spot by 7.10 pm. The Fire brigade controlled the fire within 10 minutes, also stopping the further spread of the fire.

As the car that caught fire was in the parking lot of the apartment, there was a massive risk of other vehicles catching fire. Another Honda Amaze car parked next to the burnt car got slightly damaged from the impact of the fire. No casualties were reported as the residents had evacuated the building and took necessary precautions in time, also alerting the fire brigade.

 

The Fire Brigade team consisted of Firemen Mahesh Phadtare, Ramraj Bagal, Sandeep Kavde, Harshvardhan Phade, Dinesh Dagde, Prasad Shinde and driver Mangesh Kale.
