Pune: Case Filed Against Businessman for Abusing Provident Fund Officer in Shivajinagar

Shivajinagar, 11th January 2025: An incident occurred in Pune’s Shivajinagar area where a businessman pushed and abused a female officer from the Provident Fund Office who had gone to serve a notice. The Shivajinagar Police have registered a case against the businessman in response to this incident.

Gauri Mali, an officer of the Provident Fund Office, filed a complaint at the Shivajinagar Police Station. According to the information provided by the police, Mali had gone to the businessman’s office to serve a notice regarding the depletion of employees’ provident fund. During this visit, an argument ensued, and the businessman abused Mali. The situation escalated when the businessman snatched Mali’s mobile phone and threw it.

Senior Police Inspector Chandrashekhar Sawant visited the scene of the incident. Assistant Police Inspector Sanjay Pandhare is currently investigating the case.
