Pune: Case Registered Against Constable For Demanding Bribes In Name Of Senior Police Officers
Pune, 24th October 2022: A case has been registered by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) against a constable of Shikrapur rural police station on the charge of demanding a bribe in the name of a senior police officer. The name of the police constable is Ameeruddin Rafiuddin Chamanshekh (43).
A complaint was filed against Ameeruddin in July and the case was registered after verifying it. A businessman filed a complaint about this. Chamanshekh is posted at Shikrapur Police Station. He had demanded a bribe from the businessman saying that he wanted to give mobile sets to senior officials.
After a complaint was filed in this regard, the ACB started an investigation. After technical analysis and recording the statement of the complainant businessman, a case was registered against Police Constable Chamanshekh.
