Pune: CBI Raids Builder Avinash Bhosale In DHFL-Yes Bank Fraud Case

Pune, 30th April 2022: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Saturday raided the house and some properties of builder Avinash Bhosale in the Yes Bank and DHFL fraud case and seized important documents. Businessman Sanjay Chhabria has been arrested in connection with the scam and his properties in the city have also been raided by the CBI.

Along with Bhosale, Vinod Goenka and Shahid Balwa have also been booked by the CBI. Earlier last year, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) seized assets worth about Rs 40.34 crore from Bhosle and his family. Yes Bank and DHFL Bank fraud cases have been registered and the CBI has conducted raids at eight places in Mumbai and Pune.

Bhosale is a famous builder and father-in-law of Minister of State for Agriculture Vishwajit Kadam. He has a large construction business in Mumbai and Pune.

Bhosale, who has close ties with all party leaders, was earlier detained at the airport by the customs department for smuggling valuables from abroad.
