Pune: Rs 3.46 Lakh Fine Recovered From 346 Bullet Riders For Blasting Sound With Modified Silencers, Pimpri Chinchwad Police Launch Crackdown

Pimpri Chinchwad, 30th April 2022: The Traffic Police today took action against the 346 Bullet motorcycle riders who were driving the bike with a loud sound. Newly-appointed Commissioner of Police Ankush Shinde has launched a crackdown.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Anand Bhoite said that if the bullet drivers have been prosecuted twice in the silencer case, then the garage owner who replaced the silencer will now be charged as a co-accused in the case.

Many Bullet riders have got the silencer of the bike modified and drive bikes often producing cracker-like sound.

However, as soon as Commissioner of Police Ankush Shinde took over the charge of the Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Commissionerate, he ordered a crackdown on such drivers. Now action is being taken under the guidance of DCP Bhoite and ACP Satish Mane.

The action was taken against the bullet riders under 13 traffic divisions of Pimpri Chinchwad police. Action has been taken against 346 persons and a fine of Rs 3 lakh 46 thousand has been recovered.
