Pune: Chandan Nagar Police Station Recovers 8 Stolen Bikes, 3 Persons Arrested

Vadgaonsheri, 23 February 2021: The officials from Chandan Nagar police station, Pune city police, have nabbed three persons and recovered eight stolen bikes worth Rs 2.62 lakh from their possession.

The arrested persons have been identified as Khiyaram Lalaram Meghwal (23), Chunaram Lalaram Meghwal (21) and Dilkhush Kubharam Thingla (19). They are natives of Bilada in Jodhpur district of Rajasthan and currently resided on rent in Kharadi.

Acting on a tip-off received by Police Naik Tushar Bhivarkar, a team led by Assistant Police Inspector Gajanan Jadhav of the detection branch (DB) nabbed the accused persons near Tempo Chowk in Vadgaonsheri. They were riding a stolen motorcycle.

Senior Police Inspector Sunil Jadhav, in-charge of Chandan Nagar police station, said, “During further investigation, we recovered six two-wheelers which they had stolen from Chandan Nagar police station jurisdiction and two from Hadapsar police station area.”

The action was taken under the guidance of DCP (Zone 4) Pankaj Deshmukh, ACP (Yerwada division) Kishor Jadhav and Inspector Jadhav. The team included Police Inspector (Crime) Sunil Thopte, API Gajanan Jadhav, ASI Pandit Gawde, Mohan Walke, Yusuf Pathan and police personnel Rohidas Lawande, Tushar Bhivarkar, Mahesh Nanekar, Avinash Sankpal, Amit Kamble, Rahul Ingle, Sandip Yele, Vikrant Saswadkar, Amit Jadhav, Subhas Avhad, Sachin Koli and Parshuram Shirsat.
