Pune: 1542 new Corona patients in Pune district, 8 deaths

Pune, Feb 25, 2021: With the addition of 1542 fresh Coronavirus positive today, the total number of COVID cases has reached 4,03,497 in Pune district. Also, 1033 patients got discharged from hospitals while 8 people died.

Dr. Bhagwan Pawar, District Health Officer (DHO), said that out of total 4,03,497 patients 3,85,693 have been cured and discharged from hospitals, while 9214 people have died. There are still 8759 active patients undergoing treatment in different hospitals, also out of 8759, 5110 are Home Isolated. Most of the patients are from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area. Till now 22,79,937 people have been tested in the district.

The 4,03,497 patients include 2,00,462 from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area, 1,04,503 from Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 7126 from Cantonment areas, 70,881 are from Rural areas, and 20,525 from municipal council (Nagar Parishad) areas in the district.
