Pune: Chandrakant Patil Directs PCMC To Collect Wet Waste From Big Societies
Pimpri, 21st 2022: Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) postponed its decision not to collect wet waste from big housing societies from November 1, following a proclamation from Maharashtra minister Chandrakant Patil on Friday (October 21).
After visiting the corporation headquarters, Chandrakant Patil informed that keeping the people’s sentiments in mind he has asked the PCMC administration not to go ahead with the decision of not collecting the wet waste.
PCMC Commissioner Shekhar Singh said the corporation had already given extra time of one more month for the societies to set up the plants.
Pimpri Chinchwad Housing Societies Federation accepted the decision and stated that the minister had also directed the administration to set up a committee and seek residents’ suggestions before taking any final decision.
Reportedly, Patil also met officials of the Pimpri-Chinchwad police and the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority.
