Pune: Changes In Traffic Movement On Way To Ekvira Devi Temple From Tomorrow, Know Details

Maval 14t Oct 2023: Considering the heavy crowd of devotees that visit Ekvira Devi temple on the occasion of Navratri, the district collector Rajesh Deshmukh has issued an advisory to ban the movement of heavicles during a specific period to avoid traffic congestion in the area. The restrictions will be implemented from October 15 as the Navratri festival procession at the revered Shree Ekvira Devi temple in Vehelgaon and Karla, Maval taluka will commence.
During the period from October 15th to October 24th, vehicular entry will be prohibited on the route from Karla Phata to the Shree Ekvira Devi temple, for both local and non-local vehicles. From October 21st to October 23rd, vehicular traffic will be restricted from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM on the old Mumbai-Pune highway, specifically from Lonavala-Kusgaon toll plaza to Vadgaon Phata road towards Pune and Khadakwasla-Kusgaon toll plaza road towards Pune. Traffic will be diverted from Vadgaon Phata to Talegaon Phata via a expressway route, ensuring a faster journey towards Pune from Mumbai on the new route.
After the implementation of the notification, any understandable issues that arise will be addressed and the notification will be revised accordingly. Citizens are encouraged to cooperate by adhering to the traffic changes made, stated the official order.
