Pune: Check ward wise number of Coronavirus positive patients under Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC)

Pune, April 10, 2020: As per the latest information, the number of Coronavirus positive patients in Pune district has reached 247 today including 28 who have died and 30 who have been discharged.

 According to officials, 209 out of total 247 positive cases are from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) areas, while 26 are from Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) areas and 12 are from Pune rural. There were three new patients in PCMC areas today, while 38 new patients from PMC areas tested positive. Three people died due to Coronavirus today in Pune. In Pimpri Chinchwad, 12 out of 26 patients have cured and discharged.

 Many areas in central and east Pune have been sealed as about 70 positive cases are from these areas (see map). A strict curfew is being implemented in these areas. Similar action is being taken in Sinhgad Road, Karve Nagar and Kothrud areas also. PMC has declared a health emergency in Pune and closed all vegetable markets except vendors being allowed at designated spots between 11 am to 2 pm and then from 3 pm to 5 pm with social distancing.

Swab samples for Corona will now be taken at 7 places in Pune

Now swab samples for Coronavirus test will be taken at Dr Naidu hospital near Pune RTO, Rakshaknagar Sports Complex in Kharadi, Khedekar Hospital in Bopodi, Laigude Hospital in Wadgaon Dhayari, Shivarkar Maternity hospital in Wanwadi, Thackeray Maternity hospital in Kondhwa and Sanas Sports complex near Sarasbaug.

Wearing Mask compulsory in Pune

Police have made it mandatory for people to wear a mask whenever they are out of the home.
