Pune: Checking Of Universal Pass Confuses PMPML Bus Passengers

Pune, 19th January 2022: To restrain the growing influence of Corona, the administration has now made it mandatory for passengers to have a universal pass for the buses of Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML).

However, due to this, there are rising quarrels among passengers and bus conductors. Many labourers don’t know about Universal Pass (get it here https://epassmsdma.mahait.org), so there is confusion in explaining it to them. Anybody who has completed two doses of the vaccine can get it online.

A large number of commuters from the suburban areas travel by bus. However, they have no idea about the universal pass of corona vaccination and while explaining about the pass, their particular stop has arrived. Most citizens have taken two doses of the corona preventive vaccine.

But, citizens are being deceived as they do not have any documents regarding the vaccine with them. Many are showing up on mobile. However, many do not have the same features as Android mobile, which has increased the problems. It is possible to check these matters at the main stop of the PMPML.

However, at other stops, passengers are crowded; some have to get off at the nearest stop, so it has become a hassle to check the universal pass of all of them. The driver informed that passengers also have to bear the brunt of this irresponsible management.

Mahadev Poman, Pramod Jedhe, Sushil Yadav, Kalidas Nale, Radhakisan Korhale, Samadhan Ahire, Sunil Balgude from Bhekrainagar PMPML depot informed the passengers about the Universal Pass. They also explained that it is beneficial if someone is traveling after taking two doses of the corona vaccine for safety.

Meanwhile, Hadapsar depot chief Suhas Gaikwad explained, “one has to travel by saying that they are vaccinated for themselves and others. If both the driver and the passenger understand, problems will not arise. Passengers also need to cooperate for this”.
