Pune: Chicken Prices Increase By Rs 20 Per kg, Egg Prices Drop
Pune, 25th February 2024: The bustling market of Ganesh Peth continues to see fluctuations in the prices of meat and fish as demand dynamics shift. Despite the heightened demand for fish, leading to sustained prices, the cost of chicken has witnessed a surge of Rs 20 per kilogram. Conversely, the price of eggs has experienced a decline by Rs 35 per hundred due to decreased demand.
In a market where supply meets demand, the prices of Gavran eggs and mutton have remained stable in comparison to the previous week, providing a sense of relief for consumers.
This Sunday, the market received 15 tonnes of deep-sea fish, including 300 kg of bay fish and 800 kg of river fish. Fish trader Thakur Pardeshi, chicken-egg trader Rupesh Pardeshi, and mutton seller Prabhakar Kamble jointly shared that 15 tonnes of Rohu, Catla, and Silan varieties were brought from Andhra Pradesh, ensuring a diverse range for consumers.
