Pune city: 1073 new COVID cases, 1145 discharged today
Pune, Aug 15, 2020: In the last 24 hours, a total of 1145 people were discharged from hospitals after recovery from Coronavirus disease (COVID19) in Pune city today. Also, 1073 new patients were detected while 27 people died today. Today swab samples of 5840 people were collected for COVID tests.
According to Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), the total number of Coronavirus positive patients till date has reached 72,576 out of which 56,245 have been cured while 1710 have died. There are still 14,621 active patients undergoing treatment in various hospitals. They include 760 critical patients out of which 466 are on ventilator support.
Across Maharashtra, 6,844 people got discharged from hospitals while 12,614 new cases and 322 deaths were reported today. The total number of COVID cases has reached 5,84,754 out of which 4,08,286 people have recovered and 19,749 have died. There are 1,56,409 active cases.
According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 2,526,192 across the country. Out of this, 1,808,936 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 49,036 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 668,220 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
