Pune city: 1211 new COVID cases, 35 deaths today
Pune, Aug 19, 2020: In the last 24 hours, a total of 1089 people were discharged from hospitals after recovery from Coronavirus disease (COVID19) in Pune city today. Also, 1211 new patients were detected while 35 people died today. Today swab samples of 6690 people were collected for COVID tests.
According to Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), the total number of Coronavirus positive patients till date has reached 77,368 out of which 60,963 have been cured while 1849 have died. There are still 14,556 active patients undergoing treatment in various hospitals. They include 815 critical patients out of which 483 are on ventilator support.
Across Maharashtra, 9011 people got discharged from hospitals while 13,165 new cases and 346 deaths were reported today. The total number of COVID cases has reached 6,28,642 out of which 4,46,881 people have recovered and 21033 have died. There are 1,60,413 active cases.
According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 2,767,273 across the country. Out of this, 2,037,870 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 52,889 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 676,514 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
