Pune: Now ST Buses Available Every Hour For These Places in Maharashtra

Pune, August 19, 2020: After the state government allowed inter-district travel in Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) buses without any e-pass from August 20, MSRTC’s Pune division has issued a list of places for which buses will be available every hour.

Pune Divisional Controller of MSRTC Yamini Joshi said, “The ST buses will ply after one hour gap. The buses will run from Pune to Dadar, Nashik, Aurangabad, Thane, Borivali and Kolhapur. Also, buses from Pune to Solapur, Pandharpur, Shirdi etc will also be started soon. The buses will have an occupancy of 50 percent to maintain physical distance as per Coronavirus disease (COVID19) preventive guidelines.”

The Maharashtra government has now allowed the inter-district travel by the state transport (ST) buses. No permission/approval / e-Pass will be required for the travel by the bus.

State Chief Secretary Sanjay Kumar issued an order in this regard today. “The Inter-District bus services of only Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) will be allowed to function. No permission/approval / e-Pass will be required for the buses and passengers travelling in the buses of the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation. The Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for the operation of these buses will be issued by the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation. Further, all norms of social distancing and precaution to prevent Covid-19 shall be followed”, the order states.
