Pune City: 1556 New COVID Cases, 35 Deaths Reported Today
Pune, Aug 21, 2020: In the last 24 hours, a total of 1570 people were discharged from hospitals after recovery from Coronavirus disease (COVID19) in Pune city today. Also, 1556 new patients were detected while 35 people died today. Today swab samples of 7208 people were collected for COVID tests.
According to Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), the total number of Coronavirus positive patients till date has reached 80,593 out of which 63,919 have been cured while 1917 have died. There are still 14,757 active patients undergoing treatment in various hospitals. They include 793 critical patients out of which 483 are on ventilator support.
According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 2,905,823 across the country. Out of this, 2,158,946 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 54,849 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 6,92028 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
