Pune City: 1968 New COVID Cases, 46 Deaths Reported Today
Pune, Aug 29, 2020: In the last 24 hours, a total of 1657 people were discharged from hospitals after recovery from Coronavirus disease (COVID19) in Pune city today. Also, 1968 new patients were detected while 46 people died today. Today swab samples of 7047 people were collected for COVID tests.
According to Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), the total number of Coronavirus positive patients till date has reached 92,839 out of which 75,184 have been cured while 2232 have died. There are still 15,423 active patients undergoing treatment in various hospitals. They include 834 critical patients out of which 506 are on ventilator support.
Across Maharashtra, 11,541 people got discharged from hospitals while 16,867 new cases and 328 deaths were reported today. The total number of COVID cases has reached 7,64,281 out of which 5,54,711 people have recovered and 24,103 have died. There are 1,85,131 active cases.
According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 34,63,972 across the country. Out of this, 26,48,998 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 62,550 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 7,52,424 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
