Pune city: 486 fresh COVID patients found, 25 deaths reported today

Pune, June 30, 2020: In the last 24 hours, a total of 522 people were discharged from hospitals after being cured of COVID19 in Pune city today. Also, 486 new patients were detected while 25 patients died. Today swab samples of 3949 people were collected for COVID tests.

According to Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), the total number of Coronavirus positive patients till date has reached 17228 out of which 10,451 have been cured while 643 have died. There are still 6134 active patients undergoing treatment in various hospitals. They include 350 critical patients out of which 59 are on ventilator support. Till now 115,990 people have been tested in Pune city.

Among the 25 deaths, eight were women and seventeen men, all between the age group of 46 to 83 years. They were from Bopadi, Parvati, Yerwada, Rashta Peth, Guruwar Peth, Kharadi, Shivaji Nagar, Karve Road, Kondhwa(2), Erandwane (2), Gokhale Nagar, Shivaji Nagar, Ambilodha PMC Colony, Mangalwar Peth, Shukrawar Peth, Bibvewadi, Phursungi, Hadapsar, Nana Peth, Wadgaon Sheri, Ganesh Mala, Katraj, and Shramik Vasahat.

Across Maharashtra, there were 4878 new COVID19 cases today taking the total number of cases to 174,761. Also, 245 people died while 1951 got discharge from hospitals after being cured. There are still 75,979 active cases. Till now 90,911 COVID-19 patients have been cured. The recovery rate in the state is 52.02 %.

According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 566,840 across the country. Out of this, 334,821 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 16,893 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 215,125 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
