Pune city: 523 fresh COVID patients found, 22 deaths reported today

Pune, June 28, 2020: In the last 24 hours, a total of 328 people were discharged from hospitals after being cured of COVID19 in Pune city today. Also, 523 new patients were detected while 22 patients died. Today swab samples of 693 people were collected for COVID tests.

 

According to Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), the total number of Coronavirus positive patients till date has reached 16,125 out of which 9447 have been cured while 613 have died. There are still 6065 active patients undergoing treatment in various hospitals. They include 324 critical patients out of which 54 are on ventilator support. Till now 108,003 people have been tested in Pune city.

 

Among the 22 deaths, twelve were women and ten men, all between the age group of 31 to 82 years. They were from Hadapsar (3), Katraj (2), Karve Nagar, Pandav Nagar, Sinhagad Road (2), Ghorpadi, Kondhwa (3), Padmavati Nagar, Gurwar Peth, Lohgaon, Kothrud, Aranyeshwar Nagar, Shivaji Nagar, Bopodi,  Nana Peth, and Yerwada,

 

Across Maharashtra, there were 5493 new COVID19 cases today taking the total number of cases to 164,626 . Also, 156 people died while 2330 got discharge from hospitals after being cured. There are still 70,607 active cases. Till now 86,575 COVID-19 patients have been cured. The recovery rate in the state is 52.59 %.

 

According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 528,859 across the country. Out of this, 309,712 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 16,095 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 203,051 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
