Pune city: 531 fresh COVID patients found, 13 deaths reported today

Pune, June 25, 2020: In the last 24 hours, a total of 202 people were discharged from hospitals after being cured of COVID19 in Pune city today. Also, 531 new patients were detected while 13 patients died. Today swab samples of 3452 people were collected for COVID tests.

 

According to Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), the total number of Coronavirus positive patients till date has reached 14,185 out of which 8302 have been cured while 558 have died. There are still 5325 active patients undergoing treatment in various hospitals. They include 316 critical patients out of which 63 are on ventilator support. Till now 100677 people have been tested in Pune city.

 

Among the 13 deaths, three were women and 10 men, all between the age group of 43 to 87 years. They were from Sinhagad Road, Navi Peth, Model Colony, Raviwar Peth, Laxminagar in Parvati, Gandhi Nagar in Yerwada, Ganesh Peth, Bhawani Peth, Dattawadi, SM Joshi Vasahat in Parvati Darshan, Sadashiv Peth, Sayyednagar in Hadapsar and Dambad Kothi in Parvati Darshan.

 

Across Maharashtra, there were 4841 new COVID19 cases today taking the total number of cases to 147741. Also, 192 people died while 3661 got discharge from hospitals after being cured. There are still 63,342 active cases. Till now 77,453 COVID-19 patients have been cured. The recovery rate in the state is 52.42 %.

 

According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 473104 across the country. Out of this, 271696 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 14894 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 186514 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
