Pune city: 617 fresh COVID patients found, 5 deaths reported today

Pune, June 29, 2020: In the last 24 hours, a total of 482 people were discharged from hospitals after being cured of COVID19 in Pune city today. Also, 617 new patients were detected while 5 patients died. Today swab samples of 4038 people were collected for COVID tests.

 

According to Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), the total number of Coronavirus positive patients till date has reached 16,742 out of which 9929 have been cured while 618 have died. There are still 6195 active patients undergoing treatment in various hospitals. They include 333 critical patients out of which 61 are on ventilator support. Till now 112,041 people have been tested in Pune city.

 

Among the 5 deaths, three were women and two men, all between the age group of 47 to 76 years. They were from Hadapsar, Dhankawadi, Nanded Phata,Parvati, and Shanivar Peth.

 

Across Maharashtra, there were 5257 new COVID19 cases today taking the total number of cases to 169,883. Also, 181 people died while 2385 got discharge from hospitals after being cured. There are still 73,298 active cases. Till now 88,960 COVID-19 patients have been cured. The recovery rate in the state is 52.37 %.

 

According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 548,318 across the country. Out of this, 321,722 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 16,475 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 210,120 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
