Pune City Police Launches ‘Arogyavati Bhava’ Initiative To Promote Women’s Health Awareness

Pune, 26th August 2023: The cornerstone of every family’s strength is a woman, whose bustling lifestyle revolves around family responsibilities. Amid her ceaseless commitments, she seldom dedicates time to herself.

In a bid to instill self-awareness among women, an initiative titled “Arogyavati Bhava” has been launched within the Pune City Police Commissionerate.

Under the astute guidance of Police Commissioner Retesh Kumaarr and Joint Commissioner of Police Sandeep Karnik, medical camps were meticulously organized in collaboration with Ruby Hall Clinic for the women from police families residing in Shivajinagar Police Colony and Swargate Police Colony. Nearly 400 police families actively participated in these medical screenings. The ensuing medical examination reports were both disseminated and meticulously analyzed by the esteemed medical professionals from Ruby Hall Clinic. Subsequently, the participants received comprehensive medical assessments, guidance, and necessary medication.

The event was graced by the participation of Anupriya Kumar, the wife of the Police Commissioner, Priya Karnik, wife of the Joint Commissioner of Police, along with Dr. Swati Pokle, Dr. Surekha Chavriya, Rupali Zende, Tejshree Pawar, Dr. Tejshree Ranade, and Dr. Prasad Muglikar from Ruby Hall Clinic, the Director of Medical Services.

Prabhakar Srivastava, General Manager of Human Resources, Hrishikesh Khandve, General Manager of Marketing, Dr. Rashmi Bhamre, Gynaecologist, Dr. Debashish Desai, Infectious Disease Specialist, and their respective teams and technicians were part of this noble initiative.

Additionally, Dr. Raut, Dr. Deshpande, and Dr. Kshirsagar led their teams from Shivajinagar Police Hospital, while Dr. Jagdale and her team represented Swargate Police Hospital. Caroline and her team from Hope for Children Foundation, as well as Shubda Ranadive and her Muskan team, brought their dedicated support. Senior Police Inspector Anita More and Sangita Jadhav from the Bharosa Cell, Senior Police Inspector at Koregaon Park Police Station, Nilima Pawar, Police Inspector (Crime) at Market Yard Police Station, Swapnali Shinde, and other esteemed police officers and officials enriched the gathering with their presence.

Through the “Arogyavati Bhava” initiative, Pune City Police Commissionerate endeavors to empower and enlighten the women within their fold, imparting the message that their well-being is of paramount importance.
