Pune City Police To Host “Tarang-2023”: Bridging Gaps Through Entertainment, Culture, and Safety

Pune, 19th December 2023: Pune City Police Commissionerate, under the leadership of Commissioner Retesh Kumaarr, is set to bring the citizens closer to law enforcement through “Tarang-2023.”

 

This unique three-day event, scheduled from December 22nd to 24th, will take place at the Police Headquarters in Shivajinagar, Pune, from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm. The entry is free and the event is open to all.

 

The primary aim of Tarang-2023 is to provide the public with insights into the various branches and functions of the police force, fostering a sense of understanding and collaboration. The event will feature displays by different police units, showcasing their roles and operations through audio/video presentations. Notable units such as the Bharosa Cell and Damini Squad, dedicated to women’s safety, will be highlighted.

 

Additionally, exhibits on services like Dial 112, State Reserve Police Force (SRPF), Communication Message Vehicle System, Dog Show, Quick Response Team (QRT), and State Crime Investigation Department (CID) will offer comprehensive information.

 

The event goes beyond law enforcement, incorporating Pune’s rich cultural heritage and artistic talent. Local artists will showcase their work, featuring pottery, eco-friendly plastic recycling, and exhibitions of copper and brass vessels. A special Kids Zone will cater to the younger audience, fostering interest in science through exhibits, games, and educational content like “Good Touch Bad Touch.”

 

Tarang-2023 is not just about information but also about entertainment. The program includes orchestras, comedians from Marathi cinema, and performances by various celebrities to engage and entertain people from all walks of life. To add to the cultural experience, there will be stalls offering diverse food options.

 

The event isn’t just about law enforcement; it’s a celebration of culture, art, and community. Visitors can explore handicrafts, Khadi products, jewelry, traditional foods, clothing, and more from skilled artisans and local artists.

 

All citizens are invited to participate enthusiastically in Tarang-2023, enjoying a range of items and food crafted by skilled artisans. Entry to Tarang-2023 is free for all, and the Pune City Police Commissionerate has appealed to citizens to take full advantage of this unique and enriching experience.
