Pune City Police’s Woman Constable Found Dead At Her Residence
Wakad, 5th July 2021: A 28-year-old woman constable of Pune city police was found dead at her residence in Kaveri Nagar police colony in Wakad. She was found hanging and police suspect she died by suicide.
The deceased has been identified as Shradha Shivajirao Jaybhaye. She was posted with the Special Branch (SB). Her husband is working with the Indian Navy and currently he is posted in Kerala. The couple has a four-year-old daughter.
According to police, on Sunday night Shradha handed over her daughter at a relative’s place. Today her colleague informed Wakad police station as she was not responding to phone calls.
When the officials reached her flat, it was locked. They broke into and found her hanging. Senior Police Inspector Vivek Muglikar visited the spot. Further investigation is going on, police said.
