Pune City To Experience Moderate To Heavy Rainfall Till 14th July

Pune, 11th July 2022: Pune City experienced moderate rainfall with 1 – 2 intense spells during the last 12 hours.
Till 5.30 pm, the rainfall in different areas was:
Shivajinagar: 27.0 mm
Pashan: 16.8 mm
Lohegaon: 17.4 mm
Chinchwad: 26.0 mm
Lavale: 35.0 mm
Magarpatta: 12.0 mm
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued the following prediction for July 12 (Tuesday):
Overcast, moderate rain (15.6 – 64.4 mm) to isolated heavy rain (64.5-115.5 mm), intermittent intense spell, very likely with very heavy (115.6-204.4 mm) to isolated extremely heavy (>=204.5 mm) rainfall in ghat areas.
A similar situation will be in Pune city and district till July 14th.
The rains will be following impact:
• Partial reduction in visibility, slippery road during period of intense spell.
• Partially damaged roads with potholes.
• Disruption of traffic flow.
• Chance of water logging in parts of low-lying areas adjacent to river banks/ghats.
• Possibility of falling/uprooting of roadside tree branches etc.
