Pune: Woman Dies After Roof Of House Collapse
Ambegaon, 11th July 2022: Due to incessant rains, the roof of the house collapsed on a woman which resulted in her death. The incident happened around 1.30 PM in the Laigude wasti at Javale village in Ambegaon taluka of Pune district, Maharashtra.
The deceased woman is identified as Rangubai Dhondibhau Kale (46) who was also a former sarpanch of the village.
Dhondibhau Mahadu Kale lives with his wife Rangubai Dhondibhau Kale, children Ajay Dhondibhau Kale, Ganesh Dhondibhau Kale and daughter-in-law Lakshmi Ajay Kale. The house was old with old designs. The house had a roof-type design on the top of a kitchen area.
Rangubai stayed at home this afternoon while everyone else had gone to work in the fields. Rangubai was working in the afternoon. At that time, the roof, which was soaked due to continuous rain, collapsed. Its material fell on Rangubai Kale.
When Dhondibhau Kale came home for lunch, he saw the roof had collapsed. At that time, with the help of Shivaji Kondibhau Laigude, Rangubai Kale was taken out of the heap. She was initially taken to a private hospital in Pargaon for treatment and then rushed to Manchar Sub-District Hospital where she died before undergoing any further treatments. Rangubai Kale was hit on the head and waist.
Babasaheb Khalkar, Satish Khalkar, Raghunath Walunj, Mahesh Lokhande, Ajit Khalkar, Sitaram Waluj, Dilip Laigude and other villagers rushed to Manchar Sub District Hospital.
Meanwhile, Tehsildar Rama Joshi has appealed to the citizens to be careful while living in dilapidated houses. Rangubai Dhondiba Kale is a former Sarpanch of the village and has been the Sarpanch of the village from 2015 to 2020.
