Baner, 4th January 2026: Amol Balwadkar, the Nationalist Congress Party (Ajit Pawar faction) candidate from ward number 9 in the upcoming Pune Municipal Corporation elections, said he has been receiving positive support from residents during his campaign outreach in the area.

Sharing an update from his campaign at Ganraj Chowk on social media, Balwadkar said residents stopped his vehicle during his tour, interacted with him, and expressed their support. He described the response as encouraging and reflective of his past work in the ward.

“While on a campaign tour, the hardworking people of the ward affectionately stopped my vehicle, extended their hands, and engaged in a heartfelt conversation. They assured me of their support and said they would vote for me to ensure my victory,” Balwadkar stated.

He further said that the response cut across economic backgrounds, adding that support from citizens, irrespective of whether they were rich or poor, gave him a sense of satisfaction and confidence.

“This support is a testament to the honest work I have done in the past. I am deeply satisfied that all citizens are supporting me with the same sentiment and expressing their trust in me,” he said.

Balwadkar added that the encouragement from residents has strengthened his resolve to work harder for the development of the ward. “The trust shown by the citizens is my real strength. It gives me the energy to move forward and work even more diligently and honestly for the ward and its people,” he said.

Campaigning for the PMC elections has intensified across the city, with candidates stepping up door-to-door outreach and local interactions ahead of polling.
