Pune: Class 10 Girl Student Stabbed With Knife Near School Premises, Police Say Fallout Of One-Sided Love

Vadgaosheri, 14th March 2022: A 16-year-old girl was attacked by a 22-year-old youth outside her school in Vadgaonsheri today. Police said that the incident is said to be the fallout of one-sided love.
Senior Police Inspector Yunus Shaikh, in-charge of Yerwada police station, said that the incident took place around 11 am outside Inamdar school in Vadgaonsheri.
“The accused youth used a knife to stab the girl. She is studying in class 10. She is undergoing treatment at a private hospital. Her condition is stable. The accused is known to her. We have formed a team to nab him”, Inspector Shaikh said.
According to the police, earlier they lived in the same area. The accused had been harassing her for the last one and a half months. As she was not responding to his advances, the accused intercepted her today. There was a farewell function in the school. He attacked her with the knife and fled from the spot. Later, he tried to commit suicide by consuming poison. He is also admitted to a hospital.
