Pune, 15th December 2022: Vikram Kumar, Pune Municipal Commissioner, informed that out of the 11 villages included in the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), a study will be conducted to improve the structure of property tax in nine villages to provide relief to these citizens.

In the next 15 days, the report of the committee of Additional Commissioner Dr Kunal Khemnar will be submitted to the Municipal Commissioner, after which a suitable decision will be taken, Kumar explained.

Talking to the reporters, former Minister Vijay Shivtare, said, “Today, a discussion was held with the Municipal Commissioner regarding property tax, and a committee has been formed for this. It was decided to arrange water supply in these nine villages. The Chief Minister has ordered to avoid traffic congestion in Katraj Chowk and has ordered to take measures for it. In 15 to 20 days the orders of Uruli and Fursungi Municipalities will be issued. I don’t know why the NCP is opposing the decision of the municipality. I will not go into politics, but the tax levied on these villages was very high.”
