The decision to desilt five dams namely Ujani in Solapur district, Girna in Nashik district, Gosikhurd in Bhandara district, Jayakwadi in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar district, and Mula in Nagar district was taken in the year 2018 during the tenure of the then Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
