Pune: Complaint From A Minor Girl Who Got Married Against Her Will; 6 Got Arrested In A Case
Khed Shivapur, 3rd June 2022: A case of underage marriage of a minor girl has come to light in Khed Shivapur. The girl herself has lodged a complaint with the police against her parents and in-laws. Rajgad police has registered a case against the girl’s mother, father and in-laws.
A case has been registered against the girl’s parents and Somnath Jagannath Konde, Jagannath Konde, Somnath Konde’s mother, all are the residents of Khed Shivapur, Tal. Haveli and Jaya Shilimkar, a resident of Nana Peth.
Rajgad police informed that the victim girl is 17 years old. Despite the girl’s unwillingness, her parents and in-laws conspired to get her married to Somnath Konde on May 20 at the Shivrai Wedding Hall in Khed-Shivapur. Accordingly, Rajgad police has registered a case against the six persons mentioned above. Women police constable Pramila Nikam is investigating this case further.
